Our philosophy: the Mitzvah is as important as the Bar.
A Bar or Bat Mitzvah is a special life cycle event for that young person reaching the age of responsibility in Judaism; it will be experienced only once. This event brings a confluence of family, friends, and educational and social development.
The Spectrum Productions Mitzvah video captures and expresses these elements by personalizing the video to the young man or woman celebrating the Bar or Bat Mitzvah. How?
In planning the video production, we get all the important details of the honoree as well as the event. This up-front planning makes the coverage more complete and much less intrusive. Through family photographs and video, as well as new material we capture, the video expresses the interests and talents of the honoree is more than just a recording.
All services include representation of the service as well as reception. Since most synagogues do not permit recording of the actual service on the Sabbath, our preferred approach is to record essential elements in a dress rehearsal in the week prior to the actual event. This gives us maximum flexibility for creativity and allows the honoree to repeat sentences to correct any mistakes. It also allows camera, lighting, and microphone placement for best results.
